Our electric awnings are controlled by a remote control or an app. This allows you to extend and retract your electric awning as you wish. To make this possible, an electric Motor installed with a tube on two poles, which electrically rolls up the sun sail for you. In addition, you can determine the size and position of the sail using the remote control. In addition to the sun sail control, we offer a built-in sun, wind, and rain sensor, which is also controlled with a remote control. The sensor informs you about the weather situation and can automatically roll up the electric sun sail in severe weather conditions. The electric sun sail system thus guarantees uncomplicated operation, even when you are not on site.

WeatherMAX® made from yarn-dyed Satura maxTM fibers. This yarn is a technical polymer featuring exceptional UV-resistant properties for long-lasting colorfastness and strength. The commonly used term „waterproof“ is to be understood as rain protection or rain-repellent.

hydroMAX Finish increases the water column and thereby enables outstanding results in water and mold resistance without, however, reducing the breathability of the fiber.

WeatherMAX® is characterized by very high tear resistance and kink resistance.

What happens in the event of sudden strong winds or a storm?

Don't worry, our systems are equipped with a high-precision Wind sensor equipped. As soon as a predefined threshold is exceeded, the sensor issues the command to retract automatically. This way, your sail is protected even when you are not at home.

Can I control the sun sail via app or smart home?

Absolutely. In addition to the classic wireless remote control, our electric drives (e.g., from Somfy) can be easily integrated into common Smart home systems integrate. Control your shading conveniently from your smartphone – no matter where you are.

How maintenance-intensive is the electric drive?

Our motors are designed for durability and maintenance-free operation. We merely recommend an annual visual inspection of the mechanics and sensors prior to the season. The electronics themselves are protected in weatherproof housings and are extremely reliable.

Does the system require a heavy current connection?

No, usually a standard power outlet is sufficient (230V) completely. We advise you in advance on the optimal cable routing so that the installation can be integrated cleanly and visually inconspicuously into your facade or garden landscape.

How smart are the controls – can the sail be integrated into a smart home system?

Yes, absolutely. An electrically retractable awning can be easily integrated into common smart home systems (e.g., Somfy TaHoma or similar). This allows the sun protection to be controlled via timers, voice commands, or in conjunction with other devices—such as outdoor lighting. This turns the patio into a fully functional „smart outdoor room.“.

 

Does the fabric tension in an electrical system always remain even?

Yes, that is one of the major advantages of motorization. An electrically retractable shade sail operates with a controlled pulling force. The system detects the end point and always keeps the fabric under the ideal tension. This prevents unsightly wrinkles and ensures that rainwater runs off better, which significantly extends the lifespan of the fabric.

What is the difference between an automatically retractable shade sail and a classic awning?

While an awning is rigidly attached to the house wall, an automatically retractable sun sail offers significantly more flexibility in shape and placement. Much larger areas can be shaded, and thanks to the height adjustment of the masts, the casting of shadows can be perfectly regulated even when the sun is low (e.g., in the late afternoon). At the same time, the automatic retraction function provides the same ease of use as an awning.
