Are the Solar Protect sails resistant to chlorinated water and salt?
Yes, our materials are specially designed for conditions near the water. The textiles are chlorine- and saltwater-resistant, so the fibers do not become brittle or fade, even if water splashes around during playtime in the pool.
How wind-stable is a shade sail by the pool?

Our water-repellent sails from Solar Protect are designed to drain rainwater in a controlled manner when installed with the correct slope (at least 15° to 25°). This prevents the formation of dangerous water pockets that could stretch the material or strain the anchoring. However, in the event of extreme heavy rainfall or severe weather, we recommend temporarily retracting or taking down the sail.
Which shape is best suited for my pool landscape?
That depends entirely on your pool's geometry and the desired shade pattern. While triangular sails are often used as a dynamic design element, square or rectangular sails offer the largest effective shaded area. We plan the shape so that the shadow lands exactly where you need it most during the hottest midday hours—directly on the water's surface or the entry area.
Can I install the sail on an existing pool afterwards?
Yes, retrofitting is almost always possible. Thanks to special ground sleeves for concrete foundations or wall brackets for existing facades, we can flexibly integrate the Solar Protect solutions.
