The fabrics of the series Color shade Featuring a unique Z- and lock-stitch pattern, Z25 and Stripe are heat-set for added dimensional stability. WeatherMAX® made from yarn-dyed Satura maxTM fibers. This yarn is a technical polymer featuring exceptional UV-resistant properties for long-lasting colorfastness and strength. The commonly used term „waterproof“ is to be understood as rain protection or rain-repellent.
hydroMAX Finish increases the water column and thereby enables outstanding results in water and mold resistance without, however, reducing the breathability of the fiber.
WeatherMAX® is characterized by very high tear resistance and kink resistance.

Our electric awnings are controlled by a remote control or an app. This allows you to extend and retract your electric awning as you wish. To make this possible, an electric Motor installed with a tube on two poles, which electrically rolls up the sun sail for you. In addition, you can determine the size and position of the sail using the remote control. In addition to the sun sail control, we offer a built-in sun, wind, and rain sensor, which is also controlled with a remote control. The sensor informs you about the weather situation and can automatically roll up the electric sun sail in severe weather conditions. The electric sun sail system thus guarantees uncomplicated operation, even when you are not on site.

The shade sails are ideal for protecting you from harmful solar radiation. You can choose between our Colourshade and Weather MAX 80 fabrics – both have different levels of light transmission. This allows you to decide yourself how shady you want your balcony to be in the summer. The robust fabrics are also highly wind- and waterproof and can be additionally impregnated. This means you can use your balcony in any weather and protect your balcony furniture. Would you like to sunbathe or look at the stars at night after all? Are the balcony sun sails from Solar Protect waterproof?
Yes. We offer both air- and water-permeable HDPE fabrics for optimal ventilation and high-quality polyester fabrics with water-repellent properties and increased rain protection. This allows you to continue using your balcony or patio comfortably even in light rain.
How wind-stable are sun sails on the balcony?
Because strong gusts of wind often occur on balconies, at Solar Protect we rely on robust attachment points and elastic tensioning systems that optimally compensate for wind loads.
Can custom-made sun sails be produced for any balcony size?
Definitely. Every project is unique. We manufacture your sun sail to the millimeter according to your exact dimensions so that it fits the architecture of your balcony perfectly.
How do I best clean and maintain my shade sail?
Cleaning is straightforward. As a rule, it is sufficient to rinse the shade sail thoroughly about once a year with a warm, strong jet of water. This keeps the fabrics clean and well-maintained for the years to come.
Does the sun sail need to be taken down in the winter?
No. The sun sail does not need to be removed in winter. Even without a protective cover, it can generally remain installed. For additional protection in the colder months, we optionally offer a matching protective cover for the sail.
Do the sun sails also provide privacy from neighbors?
Yes, thanks to the flexible installation, the sail shades from Solar Protect can be tilted or positioned in such a way that they not only provide shade, but also effectively block prying eyes from above or the side.
